I've watched a lot of football over the years and seen a lot of players come and go, but I've never seen one with more class than Dan Marino. He proved that during his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this summer. Standing up on the podium, he exhibited the same kind of self-assuredness he did when he was under center as the quarterback of the Miami Dolphins. No, Marino never won a Super Bowl, the one black spot on his resume. But football is a team sport, and he couldn't do it alone. Super Bowl or no Super Bowl, he was the finest quarterback ever to play this game.
