Women Drivers / Outdated Laws

From what I can tell this law is still on the books in Memphis, TN: It is illegal for a woman to drive a car unless there is a man either running or walking in front of it waving a red flag to warn approaching motorists and pedestrians. I just thought this was hilarious. Wonder how much it costs to print outdated laws like this in their law books? Wonder how much trouble a cop would get in for trying to enforce it? *giggles*

As bad as I drive I think maybe this would be a good idea.I think it would be a riot to actually see someone preform this. When the officer pulled them over to find out the rhyme and reason of it they could just tell him they were following the law.I think that if enough of these cases came up then alot of these laws would start disappearing from the books.

There are websites full of these types of laws. I just thought the one on female drivers was funny. One of my biggest complaints to my husband is "women drivers!" which always makes him giggle.

Wish I could edit my question to add "Anyone know where to buy red flags around Memphis?"
