migraines  | |  i got some very bad migraines...it hurts so bad that last night i couldn't get out of my bed and i threw up alot. hat kind of med works best? i usually use advil liquid gel, but someone told me excedarin works best...is that true?

| | | | | | | | 1.  ravinskye (4910) | 2 years ago |  my husband gets some bad migranes too. he was using excedrin migrane, but it stopped working as well for him. he now takes one tylenol and one advil and lays down for about a half hour and that usually does the trick. my sister used to get really bad migranes, she went to a specialist and was put on meds for awhile and her migranes went away.

| | | 3. kelly60 (3278) | 1 year ago |  Unfortunately, the only thing that gets rid of my migraines is prescription medication. I take two preventative medications, and another when it starts. As far as nonprescription medications go, Excedrin works best for getting rid of my migraines, but unfortunately, I have an aspirin sensitivity that makes it upsets my stomach so bad that I can't take it. It might work well for you though. It works well for my son.
