| | 3.  santuccie (1833) | 2 years ago |  There are only two free firewalls I've found that seem to stand up to everything. They are Kerio and AOL (McAfee Personal Firewall Express). They are more than traditional antihacker firewalls; they include IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems) to protect you from drive-by exploits on the web.
ZoneAlarm Free was good a couple of years ago, but it has since been stripped all the way down to a plain, old SPI firewall. The only thing it will block is a classic port probe. Pretty much all personal firewalls do that now.
