| |  Thats because christianity is rather lame in how it uses the bible. They take out the parts they want, and then the parts they dont want they disown and say it dosent count. Like how in the old testament it says an eye for an eye, but in the new testament it disagrees with that cause of 'Jesus'. So they tell people to ignore the first part. Its quite ridiculus.
I think Ive read one of these forbidden ones. Remember reading one that was about a women whos husband dies so she prostitutes herself, and ends up marrying a couple of her sons (they die for some reason) and also goes on about them having sex while preaching of god. Rather wack and in an actual bible. Could see why something like that would be banned.
Its all about what the church wants to present its image as though. I guess why they might forbid one and not the other is the credibility or the messages within it. If they're pretty much the same, I guess it would be because of credibility
