Electronic Pets  

If you're a regualr reader of LifeLine, you may recall the various studies we mentioned that suggested pet owners suffer less from high-blood pressure and heart attack. Fujitsu, the Japanese company, has taken the soothing qualities of pets a step further by creating Phink. Part dolphin, part bird, Phink is a computer generated electronic pet. Hi-tech sensors attached to a computer enable Phink to interact with humans in a social sense via voices-analysis technology. Like a real pet, Phink can also memorize faces and voices, by way of infrared and other sensors. That's not all, Phink perks up when its master calls. It also sings like a bird as well as perform acrobatic. And what's the best part? Phink doesn't need any birdseed.
