phoenix suns vs los angeles lakers in the first round of the playoffs  | | | |  a classic saga last season, a rematch this year. but things have changed a bit. the erstwhile shorthanded suns last season has now become one of the deadliest team in the nba again. amare stoudemire is back, 100%. no longer playing with a 6'8, the suns are now larger and more versatile. stoudemire and marion could kill opponents inside while barbosa and raja bell could do the outside. and no problem especially when they've go steve nash running the play. on the other hand, kobe bryant is on fire, while the lakers are cold, something not good entering the playoffs. a pure teamplay vs a one-man assault.
will phoenix's uptempo game edge and run the lakers out of gas or will kobe have another epic playoffs and finally upset the suns?

| |  Well the Suns took game 1-- I thought the Lakers had a great chance at winning- Kobe was hot--- then died down a bit. I still think the Lakers can pull the upset-- It all depends on how the "team" plays- I'm a HUGE Kobe fan- I think he can lead them to win the first round. If not he will make sure the Lakers give them a Struggle-- They won't go away easily. I'm rooting for the Lakers!

The "Brazilian Blur," who tied a playoff career high with 26 points, scored 15 straight Suns points in the second half as Phoenix overcame a 12-point deficit to beat the Lakers in Game 1, 95-87, on Sunday.
Amare Stoudemire racked up 23 points and 12 rebounds for the Suns, who outscored Los Angeles by 11 in the fourth quarter. Steve Nash registered 20 points and 10 assists, while Lamar Odom had 17 points and 16 boards for the Lakers.
