Bread...is it fresh?

I have this wrote down and I think it's great. I always look at the ties on my bread when I buy it.

I think it is ok to print the date of production.
In china,there is no this kind of color to show date.
But if they do that, will be better.

Oh this sounds like a wonderful idea. My husband use to bake his own bread, with a bread machine I must add, but since he was diagnosed with diabetes he had to stop eating bread altogether. The only bread he is allowed now is rye and he detest it.

That is a handy tip. We don't buy much bread but this is a good thing to know.

In the Philippines we only have the expiration date indicated on the package. From what I observed with the regular sandwich bread that I buy from the supermarket, they allot about 7 days shelf life. I make sure that I get it on the first or second day. Otherwise, I won't buy because I don't like the taste and the texture of the bread when it is already older than 2 days.

I had no idea that they color coded the bread dates. Thanks for sharing the information. I wrote it down and put it with my coupons.

i don't eat a lot of bread but there's a date on the packet(very convinient no ties to refer),but it sure is useful for people who eat it regularly.i can bake bread to but its so dry and coarse that only i can eat it,hehehe:)
