what part does your job play in your everyday life?  | | i am a freshman at work.everyday i am thinking how to do my job well and the work that should be done. i take job as my whole life. however when out of work,i could find nothing to do. perhaps i put too much attention and energy to my job and i don't have my own life besides work. now i feel a lot of pressure at work, i want to get over it.but i can't as i don't have another style of life besides work. so what role does work play in your life? how much energy do you put in your job?please give me some advice,i need to know how to treat my job and life.

Firewinddancer (265) | 2 years ago | I put a lot of energy into my career, I'm up at 3am doing it and spend time at the pc, or with notebook in hand, to others it seems I spend a lot of time doing what I enjoy doing. Those around me just got use to it and leave me hold up in my den, to them it seems I shut the outside world out, that's very far from the truth, the outside world is very much a part of my inner world for it's hold up in the den with me. I'm running mind calculations to different aspects of an area that caught my attention. I enjoy my career it's taken a lot of hard work and time invested when I first started many years ago but I find it very rewarding spiritually (makes my inner core sing). Only you can decide how much time you want to spend on your job and how you want to use your down time. I do find time to take walks, enjoying the breathing life outside my den, it sometimes clears the fog. Try to find a healthy balance with work and life.

| | 2. yanstill (898) | 2 years ago | then i think you must be a workaholic.your work comes first.and i have several suggestions below,hope that helped. 1.set limits on your work hours,when it's time to relax,do things that are not related to work. 2.be sensitive to the needs of your friends and family.take time to be with them,it's a good choice for me,and that really worked,it can also reduce my pressure. 3.take some exercises when you have spare time,it's another way of reducing stress,i tried that,it's therapeutic. although i am still a student now,but my pressure is as much as those who has a job,or maybe more,i will go outside on sunday and during the other days,do my work.when i feel tired,i will ask my classmates to play badminton.knowing how to handle pressure is really important.:)
