The ATM Problem ?

What if all the car makers started using a device that charges you $2.00 every time you start it? They could argue that you are using their service--their engineered product, their intellectual property--and so should pay them for the privilege. They might say that it costs them to maintain dealerships and parts inventories and that they need the income to maintain this convenience. You might think, "Well, it's only two dollars…I guess it's all right," but you'd more likely be outraged and angry. The commercial banks do something like this in charging for ATM use and I think the government should regulate or even outlaw the fees because they exploit our community
