Never before was a television audience subjected to the sounds of toilets flushing and eternal prejudices. My favorite episode is the double one with the female impersonator, Beverly La Salle. Remember that one? Archie revives her in his cab thinking she's a woman. Archie is a man few people like and yet we are drawn to his ignorant ways because of his deft protrayal by the late Carroll O' Connor.
