Boxing |

DO you think that children at age 3 should be in Boxing? I know someone that had 5 of his kids at age 3 boxing and I really don't agree with that. When it comes to a fullcontact sport like that it should be upto the child whether he/she wants to fight and get bruised up. What do you think?

StrawberryKisses (1108) | 2 years ago | I knew I wasn't alone in this. Until kids know what they are getting themselves into they shouldn't be forced to do this kind of sport. The person in question was in boxing for years and thinks his kids should be in it just for that reason alone which in my mind is not right. Thanx for makin me feel better

Makoy1983 (971) | 2 years ago | for one, boxing is a sport so i think there's no problem training children as young as 3 years old in that sport. its actually a good thing since at a very young age, they've been exposed to sports. but of course, it should be done in moderation. they might undergo some trainings but they should be looked after too. i've known some kids who's into contact sports early on. i do teach taekwondo from time to time and i do have students who are kids. getting them into sports early in their age is a good thing.

StrawberryKisses (1108) | 2 years ago | Oh I agree that sports are good to get them involved in BUT when they involve getting theor teeth knocked out I dont' consider that a childs sport.taekwondo is also very different that is more for defense where as boxing is taught to beat people up it has nothing to do with protecting yourself

3. gapeach65 (634) | 1 year ago | I don't think children should be boxing, it's a sport that can be dangerous to an adult, and with children's bones still forming and growing they can do a lot of permanent damage. I understand children may want to do that, but that's when the parents need to step in and say no. I saw something on TV a while back about teenage boys who were having up boxing matches in their garages, and video taping it, kids were taking it too seriously and getting hurt, they were laughing at the ones who were knocked unconscious. If you start them out young, it could lead to this when they're older, and I don't think it's safe.
