NURBS Modelling for a Renderman pipeline. email this discussion to a friend?

I am trying to model a car using NURBS, the overall form of the car is fine, however I want the individual body panels to be whole surfaces. When I attach the individual surfaces the geometry becomes very messy, with isoparms all over the place. How can this be cleaned up, while still maintaining an accurate form.

Hi I m an animator and we can become good friends.
You can do one thing. You convert your car model from nurbs to polygon, this will help you. You can also change the "convert settings" from clicking the box near "convert nurbs to polygon".
