I'm not an historian or knows so much about places. But on my visit to Jordan, I got the chance to enjoy the wonderful places. Honestly, i don't know what Petra is. First time i heard about it, I asked my husband what is that? Then he told me it's one of places that most tourist visits. First thing that comes into my mind it's like an ordinary old buildings centuries ago with all the artifacts, that i find it interesting.
From Amman we have joined one tourist tour package and took us to Petra. It was a 3 days and 2 nights tour. Early morning we prepared ourselves in visiting Petra, again my husband told me that i should eat good breakfast coz it's gonna be a long day in Petra. In my thoughts what does he means, he said he never been there too... So the journey starts, from the entrance itself after the counter i said, wow it's all rocks as in everything are rocks, mountain rocks and ancient tombs. (by the way this is the place where Indiana Jones was been filmed)Then he said it's still not petra we're still on the way to Petra (the way to petra is called as the SIQ FYI) to make the story short it took us almost 1 & half hour walking the Siq. whew it's really a sweat, good thing it's a cloudy weather. But if you see the beauty of the treasury the story behind the siq, it paids off the tireness that you feel. So next time you go and visit Jordan, prepare yourself and don't miss the fun of visiting petra.

Petra is a fabulous place! Construction is the natural right is incredibly spectacular and it looks like and how to maintain over time. The temple and monastery in the mountains breathtaking. Are overwhelming. It's hard to imagine how they were constructed in such a period.
I did not just one day in Petra and I tried to see as many things. A whole day we walked through the ancient city. You feel like you walked into a movie props. This was filmed and "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. " There is much visited, but that should not be missed is the highest place where you are offered an incredible view. It's a feeling of indescribable peace and freedom. It's true that we have to climb 900 steps, but worth the effort ... I think that day I walked 12 km. At the end of the day to relax, I was the traditional Turkish bath. Wonderful! Not to be missed!

it's now part of the 7 wonders of the world. ope to be back again soon... but this time i wanted to reach the inner part....
happpy posting!!!
