HMMM,
The Past, well in looking back on my past, which I don't do very often, I would have to say in some areas the past has made me bitter in some aspects, but better in others. I have learned that it is now getting harder and harder for me to be able to trust anyone, where when I was younger I trusted everyone. I like to be able to trust people, but I don't like being used or abused which has happened so much in my past. However, there are times that I remember about my past, mistakes I've learned among other things that I have learned that has made me who I am today, which in some aspects has helped me out in searching for what I really want to do with my life, so I guess in that aspect the past has also made me better. So, I guess you could say I'm a Bitter/Sweet lol :))

Hmmmmmm interesting question. I would have to say Both at times. I can go on a heck of a "pity Party" from time to time about my past and how it has kept me from a happier future. BUT... in the same breath I have to say it's because of my past that I am who I am and I think I am a pretty good person. I am strong, I'm loveable, I'm considerate, and I'm a survivor. I think people that have had few difficulties have not had to tap in to that inner strength that you come to use when life is being difficult.
I love Bette Davis's quote " Growing old is NOT for Sissies" (I believe that quote was hers I am not positive). I Agree, I agree, I agree!. I've been around for 58 years. I've had some bad moments but not a bad life, just bad moments. Life does go on if you choose and I do.
Bitter takes too much energy. You can't change where you were, but you sure can change where your going!

Everything I have lived with til now has made me a better person. I can help others and share information also. I am bitter about my housefire and they way we have to lived until now since the fire 3 summers ago. However, I am in a better way to help others now. So hard to be bitter really since I can save others from the heartache I have lived for this time period. It all seems to work for the better even though we don't appreciate it until maybe later. Being a Gemini, I can feel both. Take care and learn what you can and do the best you can. That is all we can hope for really.

I have learned a lot from my past.I have learned to be a better person to take the time to understand other peoples points of view, and I have learned to be a bit maore patient than when I was younger. I dont feel bitter about anything I may have as a young adult.

I think a bit of both. I have most deffinately changed and grown and become a better person and made better decisions, but I also wish I would have done things differently in my past.

I think a bit of both.. I do believe in a sense that "what does not kill you makes you stronger."
But also, the more I get to know what most people are really like, the less time I want to spend around them.
I guess as you get older, you are not as willing to put up with the crap anymore, so I believe you might call that bitter.
