Electric guitar pick-ups  

it appeals to to me to listen, but I do not know null, to play some, not even technical things,, adore the guitar and music, but in matter they are ignoring

marshall is good for amps.. but not really needed..

pick-ups is a help.. try it for yourself.. you will see the difference.. its not that expensive anyway..

as for my own expierence the most difference in sound of pick ups depands on if it´s a single coil or a humbucker pick up. A single coil sounds very bright and a bit twangy and in my opinion great for expressiv playing, as for the humbucker has stronger mids and mostly earlier leads into overdrive. Also a big difference is the output signal from the pick up which depands on how strong the magnet is and how many windings or turns of wire is used for them. Some pickups have a very high output good for getting high gain settings as most heavy guitarists use. I think picking out a pickup is a very personal choice for each single person. I prefer single coils as on my Strat are Fender Texas Special pick ups and that´s the sound I wanted to have still the most depands on your own art of playing technique how you sound. As back when I used guitars with humbuckers I had EMG pick ups built in which where quite good in sound. bye Mike
