Visual basic Creating a webbrowser

Hi there computer programming folk - I hope someone here can help answer my question.

I've created my own webbrowser using the component provided, evrtything works fine, however when I'm using the webbrowser and I click a link that has been coded to open in a new window it opens up a microsoft internet explorer window with the page in there. Is there a way I can force it just to open in the current webbrowser on my form? If so please give some sample code. It's been bugging me for 3 quarters of an hour now.
