I think watches in the past had to be winded and setting the proper time more often. Wearing the watch on the left wrist it was easier to access the winder. I think that is why most people prefer the left wrist. Take care Windrunner.

I wear my wrist watch on my right arm because I'm left handed. I like to be able to look at my watch while I'm doing whatever it is I'm doing with my left hand. I feel more balanced that way. I've worn a watch on my right arm for 20 years atleast, so if I were to switch it now, I'd never find it. LOL Just like my mother and her new automatic car. She keeps reaching for the stick shift.

I have always been told that your watch goes on the opposite side from the side that you write with. So, if you're right handed then you would wear the watch on the left wrist, since you'd use your right hand to put it on more easily. :)

Since I am right handed, I wear my wristwatch on the left side. Because my right arm does a lot more work or more busy than my left. And subconsciously I don't want to be bothered with accessories dangling on my right arm :).
