Listen to your favorite music, dance, scream out loud, so many ways to reduce anxiety. The best way is to do some deep breathing exercises, focus on the breath. You can learn this from a Yoga manual or a teacher.

I just pray---a lot! Praying really does help me cope with anxiety. Whenever I’m anxious about an examination, I just prepare for it the best I can and leave the rest to God.
It lessens my anxiety knowing that I’ve prepared and I did the best I could and I’m leaving everything in God’s hands now so it’s kinda like, whatever will be, will be and it really does calm me.
One of my fave quotes about anxiety:
Nerves and butterflies are fine - they're a physical sign that that you're mentally ready and eager. You have to get the butterflies to fly in formation, that's the trick. - Steve Bull

I do anything else to avoid becoming worse. We cannot do anything but to wait and so I divert my attention to other things. Sometimes I read, I go around the house, I talk to other people, etc. and it depends what the anxiety is all about.

Avoid fear. Think of a nice way to get out from that state. If in terms of exams, well, you know what's the remedy for it and so, do appropriately.
If it seems it's so hard that you can't imagine it by your own, head on peers or friends and share it. They might found themselves helpful on you.

I do a simple exercise when I am in such a situation that is I try to remmeber the last instance where I handled a situation similar to that at hand sucessfully and if it has never happened before I tell myself that this is a rare situation and might not ever come again so let us have fun here. If it had happened before and I had failed last time I try to compare my last performance to this one.

Happiness is very important for people's health,so I try my best to handle my anxiety. The way in common use is cry,I like crying when I feel unhappy. After crying,I feel it is real good and comfortable, and also get relaxed.Another way is to tell my anxiety to my best friend, after doing that,I also feel I am real easiest.

I think it depends on the circumstances.
for example with exams I handle it by preparing thoroughly. If I can walk into an exam knowing I have done my best to be ready for it then I am less nervous. I also make a practice of relaxing before exams rather than frantically trying to cram more information in.
If it's a location thing, then usually I handle it by leaving as qucikly as I can.
