Long distance relationships?

What do you think about long distance relationships and why? Are you in a long distance relattionship or have been in one in the past? I am in a long distance relationship and I love him more than anything. Our relationship is going very well. I don't see why people don't think long distance relationships can work. It just requires more trust. If you answer this please tell me your age and gender. Thanks.

hi im 20 and female. i just ended my LDR ..i love him but it was just getting too much for me. Ive lost some of my friends bcos of him and my social life bcos i always had to ring him ... and the 12 hour time difference didnt help. and all my money went on the relationship ..phone cards ..mobile bills ..presents. I went over to see my bf ( he lives in new zealand , i the Uk) in the summer and it didnt go to well. he was at uni all the time and had other activities such as rugby as well. he also wanted me to go over after my degree ( while he was still at uni) next year for a year and i wasnt so sure. not seeing my family or friends for a whole year! ive already lost a few friends from when i met him. unless one of you is willing to comprise where you live at the end of it ..its not going to work.
