Movies/celebrities/songs/books/fads, etc. that everyone likes but you  email this discussion to a friend?

There is that minority of us that finds pop culture to be annoying and therefore is only a guilty pleasure on the rare occasion that we do find ourselves loyal to the latest fad or the "movie of the year." And in my experience, I have even run into pop-culture addicts that at times find themselves not seeing what all the hype is about on a select few items.

What this all comes down to really is that there is no accounting for taste, so without bashing or being hateful, what are some things in this world that everyone likes but you?

I'll start. Take the list below as my opinion only.

Movies:

- Titanic
- Center Stage
- I also did not care for Sean Connery as James Bond

Celebrities

- Anyone who graces the centerfolds of Seventeen, Teen, YM, and those "Teen Beauty" magazines.
- Johnny Depp
- Any "country music" star post-Garth Brooks era... I just don't like the direction it has gone without Garth leading the way...

Songs

- "Goodbye Earl" by the Dixie Chicks

Books

- I don't like Shakespeare plays that much. They sound good in his dialect, but in ours, they sound all forced and cliche (yes, I know why, but still a letdown for me).

So, what are some elements and figures in pop culture and entertainment that everyone favors but you?

The TV series 'Little Britain'. It seems to be widely adored but I've always thought it's absolute godawful. It epitomises catchphrase comedy, where each sketch is exactly the same week-in, week-out with one minor change to the setting or context, just to reel out the exact same tired jokes, and it only serves to reward its brain-dead audience who correctly guessed that, yet again, the same pitifully unfunny catchphrases would crop up.

I’m so with you on Titanic. I don’t know what the fuss is all about. It wasn’t that great of a movie. And whenever I tell that to someone who has watched it like 10 times and has it on DVD, they give me this look of utter disbelief. For celebrities, it’s Tom Cruise. I don’t get why women go gaga over him. He’s short and arrogant. As for the songs, it’s gotta be the theme song for Titanic. During the times that Titanic was the bomb, that song keeps playing on the radio every hour that I feel like my ears would bleed!

I personally have never seen Titanic, never heard of Center Stage, but will fight to the death on the fact that Sean Connery was the #1 James Bond, followed by Roger Moore as #2 and the Austrailian guy who was first, but no one remembers as #3. The main thing that I hate in the world-Cell phones!!!
