I currently have a web page that I use to show folks the valid work form home opportunities I have found. I've tried a ton of them and found a lot of scams and a few good ones.
Anyway, I am finding new programs all the time and few of those turn out to be good ones and an even smaller percentage turn out to pay REALLY well but are invite only (i.e. I need e-mail addresses to send these people a specific invitation if I want to share the information) just because of the way the particular programs are set up.
I'm going to be adding a link to my page where people can request the invitations from me soon.
Okay, so all that being said, I wanted to find a way to keep the 400+ people in my downlines, updated when I find a new program and let them know whether it is a scam or worthwhile. I'm debating the advantages and disadvantages of newsletters versus blogging with regards ot traffic generation and getting the information out there to the people instead of to their spam boxes. The last thing I want to do is overwhelm them with even more mail.
Perspectives and input welcome.

These are some really good thoughts and ideas here. I know there are some things that I am doing that are working for me, but I too have been burned from quite a few things out there as well. All we can really do, is try and spread the word out there, and let others know what is available. Because you never know unless someone helps spread the word do you? Good Luck with all of your ventures.

I'm just trying to figure out how to let folks know there is new, good content on the site without spamming them too much. I'm thinking maybe a safelist for the newsletter would work well combined with a blog.

I'd go with the blog which you can update weekly (or how ever often you need) and on that blog and you main website give them the ooportunity to sign up for a news letter or read it online (at the blog). You can promote your blog as a new information tool for your 400+ members in your downline.

I like your idea with the reminder e-mails, maybe something short but pertinent.
My only concern is adding more e-mails to their inboxes because about 40% of the programs that I do have their own e-mails which they send out.

If it were me, I would probably go with both. I would keep the blog updated as the new programs came in, so that those members interested in doing so could check back as frequently as they wished, and send out an additional newsletter with monthly updates. Also, be sure to include a reminder in the newsletter that the blog is updated regularly and that they should check it frequently.

I think that might be a good way, depending on how many new program recommendations I am able to evaluate. I'm not sure I will be able to keep a high quality of content of I try to do a newsletter too often. I only usually add about 1-3 programs per month, depending on which ones can actually be verified.
