Fax Machine  

I've seen that advertised a lot but I don't know exactly how it works. I have another system hooked up to my computer to do my transcription work so I don't know if it would work for me or not. Can you explain it to me a little further? I would appreciate it.

I also use efax - for my business. It works perfectly and since I don't get very many faxes at all, I'm able to use their free service. Very worth it!

After you set up your account they give you a fax number. When you get a fax you get it via EMail and just have to download and view or print. With the free efax, I can't send faxes. But if you pay for the service (not very expensive), you can send faxes from your computer. You have to have the document on your computer - either scanned or in a doc like Word.

It's really quite easy and I've had nothing but a good experience using efax!

That does sound a lot easier but I have to fax documents for my mother from time to time and her document is not in my computer so I have to use my regular fax machine for that. I don't know if e-fax would be advantageous for me or not. I need to check into it a little bit more. I appreciate the information.

Using a scanner with your PC will alow you to upload any document on to your PC and then send through Efax. The good thing Is If you ever lose the hard copy. You got It saved In your document file on your PC. Efax allows you to receive documents you can print out Sign rescan to efax and send. Quite a simply system when you learn It. A big plus on office space for added equipment maintanace

That does sound like a big space saver. I have a scanner hooked up to the second computer in my office. My two computers are networked together. This computer I'm working on doesn't pick up documents that have been scanned on the other computer though. Boy, I still have a lot to learn when it comes to all the ins and outs of these office machines!
