Purchase a farmers almanac, it is loaded with that sort of valuable info.

Probably in February or March, you could start indoors by planting maybe some tomatoe seeds or squash/zucchini. That way you have some plants to plant outside. First and foremost, I will give you some advice a friend gave me. This fall when the leaves fall off the trees. Take them and put them all in a square where you want your garden. I would wet them so they stay in place. In the Spring when you have someone till then it won't be so bad plus the earth will be rich! I would pay someone to till or buy your own tiller the end of April/early May.....there is fertilizer you can buy to throw down after it is tilled that will keep the weeds from popping up. You have to ask the garden shop. Then you just make rows, plant seeds, use your plants you started indoors or buy new plants. The best fertilizer I have found is molasses. I take one bottle a month. I mix like a tablespoon and the rest water in my favorite kool-aid pitcher and pour away until the whole bottle of molasses is gone! I have pictures of my garden on my blog http://www.gottarollwiththepunches.blogspot.com
Check it out!
