I think for world cup 2006 the best player will David Beckham ... i do think that his cross is really superb but only thing is his penalty kick lol

As for the 2006 world cup, i think the best player of the tournament, and the player that really stand out during it is Zinedine ZIDANE.
He's skills,goals and efforts during the campaign are undeniable.
But unfortunately, his infamous action in the 2006 final took the best player award from him.
The player that won it was italy's captain and center back CANAVARO,he's a good player.but he did also get a Red Card during this tournament for his act against the american player in the group stage match.

I think Zinedine ZIDANE felt was really selfish during the Final match, and that's what led him to do the infamous act to Marco MATERAZZI.
I concluded he was selfish from 2 occasions:
1)the infamous act that no player in a big game such as world cup final should do.
2) the penalty he scored, the way he hit it was also a selfish act.

I think he was selfish because a part of him didn't want to quit football.And recently there's talks about him going back to play with Real MADRID because they're in some sort of crisis.

anyway, Zinedine ZIDANE will always be remembered for his contribution to soccer world( Marseilles, Juventus, Real Madrid) and to the french national team for scoring those 2 goals in the 98 final, and will be remembered for his humanitarian actions by playing in matches to raise money for diverse causes.

I am a lover of the German Bundesliga my favourite player is Philip Lahm he plays for Bayern Munchen although i support FC Schalke 04. He is a brilliant full back.
