yes i do think that teen drinking is becoming a problem exspecially now a days. Kids are dropping out of school because they would rather party than go to school and learn something. I think that if they could wait until their 21 to drink. If they could wait this would be a much eaiser topic to talk about.

This is true , with every generation the problems with drinking seem to be rising .
When we were younger you didn't see as much problems with it as you do today even though there were people who did this and when our parents were children , it was heard of even less then .
I believe the reason for this is with each generation because you have more people that did do this when they were younger and didn't have bad experiences they figure that this is just something all children will do so you have less parents today worried about what may happen to their children with drinking issues .
I have heard so many adults saying that kids will be kids or well I did that when I was younger and it is just a part of growing up or parents knowing it is going on but trying to ignore it rather then facing the problem .
There need to be more people taking a stand against this but most people just don't know what more they can do or would rather avoid the issue then discuss it .
When I was younger my dad always said if I wanted to drink that I was allowed to do this whenever I wanted but that I had to do it at home when he was around . I believe because I was given the right to do it that it didn't hold as much of an interests for me knowing I could do this if I wanted , and for this reason I never did bother to drink .
I have done this with my children as well and have told them that it is illegal for them to drink underage outside of the house but if they are at home and being supervised by adults they are allowed to drink and that if this holds such a big interests for them then they have to do it at home . So far it has worked for me as my children have no interests in drinking whatsoever . I don't know that this would really work with all children but most teenagers rebel against autority but when given permission and the facts against why they are not allowed to do something that they will take more time to listen to what we are trying to tell them .
I have found with my children anyway that arming them with a lot of information and taking the time to try to listen to them when they need to talk has helped me more through the teenage years that can be so trying for us parents and this inclues the drinking , as children just don't seem to realize how one night of fun could end their whole future forever , and when you can't get this through to so many adults it is understandable that children would find it a hard concept to understand .
