Since the Beatles came around, there have been British hits in America. Lately, it seems more and more British singers and bands are coming to America and being very successful. Take the somewhat controversial singer Lily Allen or the equally intriguing Amy Winehouse. So tell me, who are your favorite British singer(s) that have invaded the radio waves and music stores where you are?

Well I admit to being behind the times. The last British group I listened to was the "Irish Rovers" although they dropped the Irish part and tried going by just "The Rovers" for a while in the 80's. I know I'm woefully behind in the music area. I admit it. Sorry to say even the two you mentioned I have not heard of.

I'm still catching up on the first British invasion in the 60's, and I've been collecting Small Faces, Beatles, Stones, and Wishbone Ash for years. I was not aware of the current invasion, but I will definitely check it out. I'm glad you posted this!

There are so many British singers or bands that have invaded the music stores here equally as the Americans. In Singapore, I guess most of the sellouts are from these two regions. But for British, current ones of course, Lily Allen, Mika, Take That(their comeback album) and etc. For the Americans, we have Justin Timberlake, PCD, Critina Aguillera, and etc... So it's not really a British take over here... It's rather saturated.... But my current favorite British group is Mika... Like it, its fun to listen!!

Mika's song, 'Grace Kelley' is really catchy. He sure has a lot of energy, doesn't he? LOL I figured that American musicians were really pushed hard in other countries, not just in here in America. Last year it seemed we had an influx of Candian singers, but this year it seems to be the British. I welcome them all! : )

Hello AmbiePam! Thank you for choosing my response as best response... Frankly, I am now enjoying Amy Winehouse, Rehab, while typing this out....It's catchy and like the tune too.. I guess it's the Brits attack again just like the '80s and the '60s.... :
