Brandon,Vt Home of weddings What is you town/city known for?

I just heard that Brandon Vermont is giving away a wedding with all the fixings to a luck couple.They will have wedding rooms at the brandon Inn ,flowers for the wedding,a brides gown and tons of other items racked up to over 40,000 of free stuff for the New York City couple that won it.
Our town is know for the part it took in French and Indian War and Revoltutionary war ..We have a fort and others near by.We have reenactments in the spring through fall.
What is your town/city/village know for?

Beating the english! lol First with William Wallace (even if braveheart was filmed in Ireland!) at The Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297 and again at The Battle of Bannockburn with Robert the Bruce in 1314! We also have a beautiful castle and are Scotlands newest city!

Savannah is known for River Street, its St. Patricks Day Parade, old antibellum mansions, ghosts and was the first planned city in the south. It's people are warm friendly and of course we have Paul Deem and her restaurant, she is now a famous TV cook but started with her two sons making sandwiches in her kitchen and delivering them to hungry office and other lunch time employees.

Thank you. This is really a very beautiful city. I meant PaulA Deem..oops! I wish everyone could see how the old is blended with the new and it has beautiful squares and fountain all over town.

Know for so many different things. But it is known as the city of festivals. The international jazz festival is one of the beginnist things that we are known for.

My city of Sydney, is very well known for the wonderful beaches we have here in Australia and our Harbour bridge and Opera House. Many people visit Sydney for these reasons they are very well known and people simply adore Sydney when they come for a visit here.

My city is known for being a college town. Because it houses Oklahoma Univerity and OU is by far the more well known educational facility in our state. It's football team is always in the running for the national title game, and the basketball programs are ranked high, especially in recent years. I don't live near the campus - I prefer not to. There is more to this city than OU, but that is what the city is mostly known for.
