 Does any of you know any sleeping pill or something like that that could be bought over the counter? Except Sleepasil and some tabs for colds. I need it baldly for my insomnia coz its really disturbing my job.

1.  ushavaishnav (8287) | 3 years ago |  Please do not take any sleeping pills. To get sleep do some meditation. Or read some books. Sleeping pills are very bad for health. Think positive that you are going to get sleep and after some time you will fall asleep. It's my experience.

| 050984 (54) | 3 years ago |  i think the sleeping pils have advantage and disadvantage bcause the doctor sometimes also give the patient sleeping pills for the patient have insomnia,but mmaybe not always take sleeping pills bcause its not good for the brain too and to heart which can make the heart beat more ast than normal,but sometimes when u cant sleep until 2 days or more maybe u can take this pill but just 1 or 2 pill so u cant overdosis

2.  CinderInMySoul (4362) | 3 years ago |  Try Unisom. its over the counter. its Not habit forming. and in most ppl helps you to fall asleep in about 30 to 45 minutes. and you should plan to have 8 hours of sleep else you can wake up groggy.

| namanagirl (32) | 3 years ago |  Not sure if your stateside but walmart sells this stuff by their housebrand in gel caps, does the trick, you dont feel groggy the next day and non habit forming. Theyre generic so theres no real name for them I think theyre just called "Nite Sleep Aid" or something similar.

| 5. spectrum1231 (36) | 1 year ago |  Sleeping pills are dangerous.I would recommend trying to synchronise your circadian clock again, spend time outside in the sun, watch it rise/set, for a minimum of 30 seconds per day. Also if your very tired, then sleep for an hour or two before 3pm.
If all this does not helpm, then take melatonin or 30mg of 5HTP. This is a safe supplement which is the precursor to serotonin (the feel food nuerotransmitter), at night it is converted to melatonin (a chemical that makes you sleep), so increasing this will help. Also stay in a dark room, no bright lights, and just relax.
