How many dead equal a government failed? What are we to make the bizzre contrast between America's national grief over terrible slaughter of students and faculty at Virgina Tec and the muted reaction to the continuing bloodbath in and around Baghdad? One mass killing in the 209 years since Virgina Tech was founded is not exactly a trend. It is a terrible thing but not likely to be repeated any time sooner or later. PLEASE DON'T BE HASTENT TO MARK ME AS NEGATIVE BEFORE READING THE WHOLE POST. I'M AGAINST VIRGINA TECH BUT I WANT TO BRING ATTENTION TO BAGHDAD TOO. PLS READ OUT. We cant say the same thing about same events in Baghdad and Irag. Recently four separate car bombs in and around Iraq left atleast 180- Iragis DEAD. On Tuesday, atleast 85 bodies turned up and there were more bombs. Moday was not much better thirty corpses and atleast 20 killed in bombings. 69 plus on Sunday and the beat goes on. Think about the number's in relationship to this anger expressed by the public and the press on Virgina Tech University officials failed to prevent 16 April's masscare. What would we be saying if another shooter turn's up the next day and killed more than 20 students. And another shooter bags 40 the next day. The PRESIDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY WOULD BE LYNCHED, THE STUDENT'S WOULD ARM THEMSELVES UP AND THE POLICE WOULD LOSE ANY PRETENCE OF CONROL. WHY DON'T THE HELL WE THINK THE SAME ABOUT IRAG AND BAGHDAD.
