What festivals are there in your country?

Here in the Philippines, we do have lots of festivals the whole year round. The Ati-atihan in Aklan, Dinagyang in Iloilo, Sinulog in Cebu, Flower Festival in Baguio, festivals in honor of saints all over the country all year round. . .etc. etc. These festivals are uniquely Filipino. Of course, in our place, we have three big festivals. . the Flores de Mayo this May, the Buglasan Festival and the Sandurot Festival. . . Most of these are made as tourist attractions, and most have religious origins. . Since we have lots of Chinese in our country, we also enjoy watching the Dragon festivals and celebration of the Chinese New Year. . the Chinese have become part of our culture too.

Our country celebrates many festivals and if we count all the festivals we celebrate we might end up counbting a whole year.Some of the famous and widely celebrated ones are Holi and Diwali(Deepawali).Holi is a festival of colors where any person can apply colors on anyone and no one minds on this day.You can splash coloured balloons on each other and is a greatly enjoyed festival.Diwali is a festival of lights.Every house is decorated with candles and firecrackers are lighted.The new year,christmas,eid and many other festivals are celebrated with as much zest.
