Digital Art?.  | |  This is a picture of my "art work".
Taking a digital pic of, in this case, the lower branches of a tree, I put it in to the computer and by using the program "PhotoArtMaster" altered the picture to black and white, by changing several black parts to white I was left with the design that I wanted.
I then flood filled the areas that I had chosen with the colours that were to suit the decor of the room where the picture was to hang.
When satisfied I printed the result on to glossy paper and the local photography shop transferred this to canvas and placed in frame.
The question is, Is this art?.

I love working on pictures and getting them to look just the way I want them to . Even with a picture that you would not have kept at one time you can fix to look like something you would be interested in keeping with the help of all the different programs they have out there today . I love the way there are so many neat programs to do idea's that at one time would never have even been cosidered like making a kaliedoscope out of pictures . It gives it a unique look and is so easy to do:)

| | 2.  missak (1170) | 3 years ago |  Of course it is art. Actually art is whatever you use for expressing yourself or getting a point on something of the world, or making real an idea. Your result could be defined as an abstract view of a tree, and your way of confectioning it was taking into account some rules of esthetics (defined by yourself, this is interesting and good), so it is very legitimate art.

| angloscot (8) | 3 years ago | Thank missak, I was more or less sneered at when I asked if I could enter it in the local art show, I think that they only recognise pencils, crayons and paint, ( and quite frankly some of the exhibits were rubbish, but, someone had tried and that is the important bit ). | |
