In most cases you would see that thought expressed as;
" Shake container until contents are evenly mixed."

"Shake some container evenly" is not correct.
"Shake container until the contents are evenly mixed" is the way to express the idea that......"the ingredients should be throughly mixed".

in our country it reads, 'shake well before using'. this instruction comes with liquid type food or medicines which are known to have precipitates which will settle after having been laid to rest after some minutes. the precipitates must be taken because, it is where the needed nurtients or components are. if you are questioning the grammar of the instruction which in your country reads, don't mind it, what is important is that you understand what the whole thing means.
