George A Romero, the Godfather of zombies

Well, he did created a new zombie approach that made him so recognizable and associated with the term.

Unfortunately, the Day of the Dead Remake will not be anything as it's predecesor, it will be more like the Dawn of the Dead remake, with fast zombies and such. Of course, for the fans of fast zombies, it may be nice, but I'm not much of a fast zombies fan, I like more the slow, shambling ones.
As for the Diary of the Dead, yeah I'm also really excited about it and can't wait for it to come out, and hopefully it will be much better than Land of the Dead, which except the nice special effects and the Dead Reckoning (that nice train-car machinery), wasn't worthy of my expectations.

I'm not exactly AGAINST fast zombies, but i definately think they are so much more.... eerie when they are slow.
Like they are dead and unsure how to use these bodies.

As for LotD - deinately not the best of the series but I didn't mind it that much. There were elements that i didnt like or found boring. But i guess it's ok to watch when tehre is nothing else to watch.

Diary of the Dead could be very interesting. The idea of being blair-witch-style seems very cool. And the fact that it is set alongside NotLD is also another cool way. like a new begining or something.

I haven't read World War Z yet by Max Brooks, but I read The Zombie Survival Guide, and I can say I was quite impressed. The details were very good, and the scientific way they're all explained places you in the atmosphere of the story. I hope the movie will be that good.

He sure is, and horror fans from around the world pay respect to his work anytime they get the chance, including me:D

Yes I also saw it, and I can say that it wasn't as good as I expected after the little new approaches that he had with Land of the Dead, approaches I didn't like alot, but that's just my opinion, it's not my movie, it's his, he can do anything with it.
But I liked the new perspective he did with the documentary style. It was something new for me so I appreciate it from this point of view.
But you're right, some parts of the movie were quite boring.

Yes I've seen it, and as I stated before I'm not that satisfied of it. But this may be only my view on it. Anyway I don't regret I saw it, like any fan I look forward to anything new from Romero and this movie was well welcomed. It just didn't get to my expectations.
You should better see it at the cinema if you have the chance. If not, it won't be a disappointment if you buy it. After all, for the hardcore fan it's a must have in his/her collection.;) Have fun!
