The way I see it life is exactly like that game, Monopoly. In monopoly as in life you are playing to win it all, the house the money, the perfect life. These are all the things we are striving for. So don't you agree that life is a game of Monopoly? It's like, if you don't have it all then other people don't want anything to do with you, but if you have it all then you have friends. I'd rather have a lot but be able to share what I have with others. How do you guys feel about this?

Yes,
I agree with you on life being like Monopoly, but I have no intention on being rich or very wealthy. I just want to live comfortable and not live paycheck to paycheck.
I mean, we live in America, well I do anyway, and there are so many opportunites for us to pursue.
No one should be without food or shelter in America.
Why are these celebs so concerned about other continents when right in their own backyards there are their fellow citizens dying from lack of shelter, mental health care or food. Maybe these Darfur celebs should channel their time and money here in America where it matters too.

Maybe some cultures are a lot more materialists than the other ones. A lot of people I know are friends of other people because of their social status, their cars/houses, not because of the people themselves. Consumism is heavy on the US but it hasn't affected all the world, there are a LOT of places without that kind of "bad friend".
