Any Mystery shoppers here?

I have been signing up to be a mystery shopper but so far I haven't gotten any assignments. Does anyone here do this? If so who are you with? Do they give lots of assignments? Who are the better companies?

About five years ago I signed up to be a Mystery Shopper. Every three months for a year they would call me and make sure my information had not changed. But they never sent me on 'assignments.' After that year I moved and didn't bother giving them my new address. I know some people really do get sent on 'assignments', but I don't happen to know any of them.

I have a freind who gets assignments a couple of times a month so I signed up with the same companies she does today. We shall see. The big thing is we are in two different states so they may have more going in that state than mine. Although it would be nice to actually be assigned a shop lol.

It certainly would. It's such a fun concept that you can't help but be eager to be called upon. I hope you get a call soon so you can tell me all about it - I can be a mystery shopper vicariously through you! LOL

There is a shop available in my area just down the street from me!!! WOOHOO!!! I will probably take it. I will let you know how it goes if I do.

I have not tried mystery shopping as there was an article in one of our papers months ago stating that the police would investigate anyone participating in these mystery shopping scams. We have been told that these are scams. I have stayed away with signing up with those places. Hope that you did not get caught up in a scam. You may want to research this company to make sure they did not scam you.

The companies I have signed up for have shops in Jax (the city I live in) but if you know anything about jax you know it is huge and all of the shops with the other companies I am with are on the coastline of jax and I am in the inland way inland so it would be driving clear across Jax which is like an hour or more one way. I only go with research firms that are highly recommended by friends of mine who mystery shop. Sure there are scams all over the internet but you just got to be carefull if you don't want to miss an opportunity to make money. I have been scammed on Craig's List before but I was smart enough to see the scam for what it was and not fall into the trap. Craigs list is a bevvy of scammers. So really you just have to be careful on the net.
