bleach follows the lives of Ichigo Kurosaki, who is a high school student with the ability to see ghosts, and a shinigami (death god) named kuchiki rukia, who crosses paths with ichigo while hunting an evil spirit known as a hollow. Rukia is wounded during the ensuing confrontation witht the spirit and is left with no choice but to transfer her powers into ichigo. Thus the adventures of Ichigo and Rukia begin. Together they search for hollows and perform aoul burials on wayward souls, cleansing the spirits and sending them to soul society.

Woa somebody already explain it to you.;) Well that's the journey of Kurosaki Ichigo. You can see many Zanpaktou that someone have. It's really cool especially the Bankai.;)

That's the first I've heard of Teacher onizuka. Can you tell me what it's about, or what you like about it so much? Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi Filmbuff! Teacher Onizuka or "Great teacher Onizuka " or also known as "GTO" is about a young rebellious man who wanted to be a teacher. There is also a live version of it, called "GTO live". Luckily, even if he doesn't look that brilliant sometimes, he passed his board exam. And got a job at a public school. He is quite a coward, because he can't express his feelings for one of his co-teacher. But he is good to protect her. His students are notorious trouble makers, with no chances of graduating. But because of his uncommon ways, he will soon win his students and made them good law abiding students. ~~LOL And he is hilarious when he tries to stop his flirty students to like him. "Gokusen" is pretty much the same, but the teacher is a woman, and she comes from a family of "yakuza". I hope I have describe it well. But it's better to watch it really, I may have missed things. I like the humor aspect of the one, and the yakuza element in the other. Just out of curiousity are they in english or subtitled? Thanks again.

Actually, here in the Philippines most of the anime shown here are already translated in "Tagalog"- Filipino dialect. So I'm not sure if it is subtitled or directly translated in English. And both Onizuka and Gokusen have a live version too here. So it's fun to watch the cartoons characters portrayed by real life persons. For Gokusen, do you know the actress in the Ring? Sadako, right, she is the one who played the part of Gokusen live. It's fun and the stunts in the anime and the live version are cool. They are other good anime with a good plot. Like Escaflowne, hmmmm.. I don't remember the titles of the others~~LOL but those are the ones I like the most to watch, because of the humor and yet the good story behind it. (^^,)

Thanks for the suggestions CarolaMuller, I will have to look for the shows that you mentioned. I've seen Full Metal Alchemist listed on the TV guide for the Cartoon channel, but I've never watched it. I'll make sure and check it out next time I see that it's on. Thanks again.

I have seen the First of the Northstar, its the original I think, they used to have it on Showtime a lot, I guess it slipped my mind. It was a very good show. I've seen the movie Akira which was pretty good as well. Thanks for the suggestions and your response.
