Subliminal messages ! Good or bad?

I do listen to music embedded with subliminal messages myself. Like you said, every bit helps. It doesn't matter whether it works. What matters is that I want to believe it works. Lol :P

Thanks, I searched it before I posted it to make sure I wasn't going to step on anyone's toes and found they wasn't any discussions about it. I had just won my ebay bid for the subliminal weight loss CD and wondered what other people thought about subliminal messages. That is probably why I end up with tons of junk food and other food I really wasn't going ot buy..lol. Yep, it is the sound of the ocean I love hearing the ocean or the rain forest. So it is a bad Idea? I had thought maybe that it would help keep me focused and maybe motivated a little more because every little help is going to be needed. I think they should come out with a kids line of subliminal messages about being good and sharing and you know help with their manners and also learning ones to help with school. And maybe the should be added to cartoons and things kids watch. It would help them alot especiallt those struggling behind. If it can work in a store I can it can work for a school.

I didn't know they had one for languages,cool I would love to learn spanish I know a few words from school and to be able to learn it through subliminal messages would be cool. And great for kids who are learning it as well at school. Quitting smoking is the hardest thing ever to do. And I think it may only suggest that we quit but if we ignore it after awhile it will go away. I am just really getting the CD for subliminal weight loss to see if it will help keep me more focused and maybe motivated because I have a long way to go on my wright loss journey and I just want to cross the finish line this time. You're most welcome:) I'm needing to loose a fair amount of weight myself but my appetite is still huge and execise is uncomfortable/painful. I know I have to eat less and exercise more but.....
I'll be interested to hear how you're going and if you're seeing any results. It's all in the mind I believe. I don't see myself as being as big as I am. It's a shock to see a photo of myself looking like a beached whale.

I know what you mean, my brother in law calls me a beached whale. I am starting with walking first I can't really do the exercises yet either or I'd probably have a heart attack. yeppers is is a shock I guess that is why I don't look to closely in a full sized mirror although they are three of htem in my home. It's a out of site out of mind kinda thing and then one day you really look or as you say see a pic and your floored. Thats when I hit bottom took me awhile to get back up but I am trying to stay up and motivated.. I think I might be sucessfull if I stay away from certain people. I have lost 10 pounds already that I know of not alot but it is a start. most times on the first week of a diet I will loose anywhere from 15-22 pounds. I hope that when you are ready you can jump on te band wagon with me and maybe we can do this together. Wouldn't that be fun a mylot contest for weight loss.. just a thought.

Well, that kinda wouldn't work for me matey. My weight has just kept going up. I might loose a fraction one day and it's back the next, I'm talking 1 - 2 lbs. If I loose over 4 lbs, it means I'm about to gain another 10. I don't know why my body is doing this. It's getting more and more out of control the harder I try.
I know the idea is to get it off in such a way that you continue doing those things for life. You can't "go on a diet, loose the weight, then stop the diet". It has to be a lifestyle change of healthy eating and enough exercise...forever and always.

I have fluid retention sometimes and that causes me to gain some weight in less then a day sometimes. I know that this will have to be a lifetime change otherwise It will be a lost cause. I wish things were different for you. That you could lose the weight. Losing weight is the hardest thing I have ever done. But it is the easiest to gain back like that*SNAP* I know I have struggled with it weight since I was 7 years old and it's been a battle since. Sometimes I win the battle, but most times I lose. I am hoping that this time the battle will end with me being the victor. Then I will have to stay on maintence for the rest of my life. ~becca--(-<@

I think if we look forward to the bonuses, clothes fitting, easier movement etc rather than the hardship of it all. We need to change how we think...easier said than done. Wouldn't it be nice if we could have a personal trainer and a chef? LOL.

I love cooking bu turning the reins ove rot a real chef would be delightdul indeed. A personal trainer. That would be cool as long as it wasn't the trainer Jillian from the beiggest loser club that woman would have be killed in a week or less on the show she is a tyrant when it comes to exercise.

Hey Becca, it's one year later...I am 5 kg heavier, how are you going?

I have lost and regained probably hundred pounds,but this year I am going to try to change that I have lost 70 pounds since the begining of the year and so far so good I am wanting to lose another 30 pounds before my birthday in July but don't know if I will reach tha goal or not.

Thanks lloydanthony for sharing your opinion I appreciate it. The only thing I buy the same brand each month is my toilet paper,laundry soaps and dish liquid soap. If they have it. but I don't think that is due to subliminal messages that has to do more to my preferences. My parents have always told me I am gulliable enough to believe anything, so maybe if I believe it enough It might work. Well, cheers~becca
