are your friends top discussion makers?

Well I never been try either anyway I didn't check whose top discussion everyday.I just open my e-mail and responce my friends discussion.Because I'm saving my time to much to do.

some of the friends in my list do top discussions in mylot. some i requested to be my friend, some requested me to be theirs. but i've never befriended a mylot user just become he/she makes top discussions.

we find friends here who share the same interest as you do. you get more responses to your discussions as you become visible to more mylot users. by increasing the number of your friends here, you may be increasing the probability of having a lot of responses too.

top discussions does not necessarily mean hundreds of responses. you can have 12 and still be in that category. i don't how a discussion is judged as a top discussion, though.

for now, just do what interests you. respond more and develop a reputation. reach 100 posts and you'll have a mylot reputation or star rating. sometimes, mylot users look for that when they respond to discussions, the higher the better.

so you must do quality posts. when you start a discussion, make sure you rate the responses you receive (+-!) and add comments when necessary. always be sincere and never be rude. don't be afraid to disagree.:)

It depends on the purpose you are making friends on myLot, for increasing your earnings or improving the quality of discussions.

Befriending good discussion makers will not necessarily give you tips for good ones, as most of them seem to have loyal friends that visit their discussions.
This seems to be the main factor.

Discussions that tend to get the most responses are the ones that everyone can respond to. I did a discussion on wearing shoes indoors and recieved over 160 responses. Whereas, more personal discussions only seem to attract a few.
Controversial discussions can attract alot of responses, but be ready to fight your corner and get negative ratings. Sometimes these are good ones to start if you are passionate about something, but remember, not everyone will agree with you and some people on this site can be quite rude.

You need to go onto your interests and look at the members who are there. If you share a common interest and ask them to be friends, then you are more likely to get those to respond to your discussions.
Alot of the time here though, seems to depend on what time you post your discussions and if many are just posting one after the other and filling up all the pages with rubbish.
