Genetically Modified Food-GMF.. How safe are they?

wow.. I normally buy them from the supermarket, But i have never come to think about their safety. Some countries have opposed these GMF. But i think they can contribute alot in povety eradication. may at the expense of your health. Have you ever taken any? Any comparison with natural food. Finally, how safe are they?
