Cooking with my DD

I have had some recent bonding with my Daughter. She is almost 4 and she loves to cook. SHe is so adorable and gets all excited. Her most recent new obsession is Rachel Ray. Which, I think is so funny. She saw her on TV and shes like MOMMY Thats Rachel Ray she cooks healthy foods :) I had to laugh!!! So today we had fun making homemade beef stew and tonight we are making jello jigglers :) Its so much fun to be able to see her enjoying herself ... She said to me today "I want to be a mommy just like you when i get big" ... It almost made me cry :)

Sounds like you have a good time with your daughter in the kitchen. I'm learning to allow my daughter in there when I'm cooking. Growing up we were never allowed in the kitchen while my parents were cooking, it was an absolute NO NO type thing.
One of my daughters (who is 5) favorite tool in the kitchen is the egg slicer. Since I was making potato salad this weekend she sliced all my eggs for me and thinks that is the coolest thing since electricity. LOL.
Enjoy those times you have with your daughter in the kitchen.

You know, my mother used to never allow me either. And, it was tough at first but now we have fun. You should try :) start with simple things and it will be fun!! I have started taking photos too for memories :)

We take pictures of everything. Now developing every picture is another story but I do save them on disk just in case I decide to use it later for a scrapbook.
