| | Not as a pet but rescued from cats and magpies, yes. We have looked after lots of birds in out time but I suppose the sweetest was Timber the house sparrow. He fell out of his nest into the cavity in the wall of our house. I was doing some extensions at the time so I was able to get him out. Mother wasn't interested to feed him so we raised him. He lived in the conservatory with the door open and he tried to join the other sparrows but they drove him away so he stayed with us. He had free run of the house and outside but he made his home in the conservatory but would come and watch TV in the evening snuggling in our cupped hands. He was a bit off his food once so we took him to the vets which caused a stir in the waiting room as he happily flew from shoulder to shoulder and all the cats in their baskets went mad! Then when he was 10 months old he suddenly died - very sad. We have looked after blackbirds, doves and pidgeons over the years but no crows. A friend had a jackdaw who was very good at stealing things! | | | | | | | | | | Frontline Plus Flea&Tick Save Big!
