Who will win the championship out of the East and the West in the NBA?  |

 The playoffs are full of surprises, like the defending champions Miami Heat are out. Beaten by the CHI Bulls 4-0.
The runner up Mavericks are on the ropes, down 3-1 with Golden State. That just says you can't take anything for granted.
Out of the teams left who has the best chance to win? The Rockets, Phoenix and everybody left in the west have a chance.
In the east I believe its going to be out of Cleveland, Chicago or Detroit.
I think it will be out of Phoenix and Chicago. I have a feeling about Chi-town.

| 1. francs (33) | 3 years ago |  Yeah that one right there is a major upset. Its no fluke because its a sweep and most of the games aren't even close. I saw the stats a while ago and the last time the defending NBA champion was swept in the first round was around 50 yrs ago! And, if the warriors eliminate dallas, it will be the first time in NBA history that the 2 finalists from the NBA Finals a yr ago are eliminated in the first round. Yeah chicago looks tough.. Deng and Gordon are showing their stuff at the right time.

 id_pop (199) | 3 years ago |  I've pretty much expected an explosion from Ben Gordon since he was set as a starter on the Bulls' lineup, but I never really thought Luol Deng would be capable of such numbers on a nightly basis. He really surprised me with his great play, and I would enjoy watching him do more on court on their next series against the Detroit Pistons.

| 2. id_pop (199) | 3 years ago | I have to say the result of the Chicago-Miami series wasn't much of a surprise, at least to me. We all thought it was going to be hard-fought, but Dwyane Wade had been nursing his shoulder injury through all the games and Shaquille O'Neal wasn't what he was a year ago, let alone when he was back with the Los Angeles Lakers. It should be expected that the Bulls would have the advantage over the Heat, as even experience can't beat this much youth, tenacity, and overall desire to win the final trophy.
If you can remember last season, the Bulls had given the Heat a lot of headaches with their ability to score at will and match up against the eventual champions' players. They've just proven how much they've grown and how much the other team has aged this year with their advancement to the second round. | |

San Antonio took 2-3 from the Suns and they look like they are the more experienced than the Nuggets in this first round series. I think Phoenix can play with them, but the fact that San Antonio won 2 of 3 in the regular season worries me about the Suns.
The East will comedown to the Pistons and the Cavs. I like Chicago, but I think that the Pistons beat them in 7 grueling games. You think the Dallas-Golden State series is tough? Wait till you watch the Bulls and the Pistons tip off game 1.

I don't think any team can get any tougher than that, especially with how the series between Chicago and Miami is already expected to be an almost even match-up. | |
