Will you accept a straw from strangers?

I often met such things in supermarkets. Now they often let the customers taste some food, such as milk,coffee and biscuits. Sometimes i will have a taste when he opens a new package.If i like it,I will buy a package or more.Usually,I just glance it.
Once, I taste a kind of milk, and I dont buy it because it is too sweet.Then the saleswoman looked very unhappy and asked why I didnt buy one after having a taste.I said it was too sweet for me.She suggested I could buy a package for my friend or my parents. I feel uncomfortable, because she standed in front of me.I thought if i didnt buy her product, I cant pass beside her."Let me go."I said angrily.
Since then,I never taste products .

I am not very sure but i dont think so that i will ever accept any thing from a stranger.

Its too unsanitized to use a straw from a stranger you don't know where he/she get it in the first place...hehehe

If i were you, i will pick one straw, just pick it but not use it, just to respect her, even she is not to polite to you.
I know her feeling, try to offer you something. But maybe that's your reflection respond to reject her, you've got a little shock when she block your step.

Well I would have done the same as you no doubt about it as they where not sealed or anything
I don't even taste in Shops or anything it is safe to anymore in this world

If someone approached me and tried to give me a straw, I would have to ask them why they wanted to give me one. I would assume that they were doing it for a reason. Maybe they had a contest to see who could give the most away, maybe there was a special prize for the person who ended up with a certain straw, who knows. I would as though instead of just walking away. If they had a good explanation, I might even accept the straw even though I would not use it, after all, You KNOW from a previous discussion that I have to have my straw.

That has got to be one of the weirdest things I have ever heard of being handed out at a shopping mall. Maybe they had a spitball competition going on.lol. I wouldn't have accepted it either but I may have asked why they were doing it just because I am nosey.

For me, it is absolutely no no. I would not like to accept anything from a stranger whether it is straw, or a bottle of Coke, or some biscuits, even when if these come for free.
First of all, we are passing through a age in which you never know what is the actual intention of a person offering you something for free. It might be just a promotional campaign on the part of the Mall owner, still, it is hard to believe so quickly.
Secondly, if I need something, I would like to buy that instead of accepting freebies and dumping my shopping bag with unnecessary items.
Anyway, I think too Mall owners must have offered something better than bunch of straws for the shoppers. It is so funny and useless.

In all supermarket are a lot of young peoples who work for some extra money for college and make this job...is only a job, and be sure that they give you something for publicity, can t make any harm, you can take and after you can don t use...in this way you can help she. Is only a job...about if is clean or not...think only when you tuch something in a supermarket or in a common place. Are a lot of germs everywhere. Any way is everybody choice, but i take but i don t eat or use, i want only help somebody who try to make some money...and i am sure i will not die from this.

That is the weirdest thing ever. Why would you need a straw? Why couldn't a shopper get a straw (for free) from the place where they go to buy a drink? Were they special straws with designs on them? I have never heard of such a thing. I would have done the exact same thing you did. I would have said "No, thank you." and moved away from her. That would have freaked me out a bit. haha
