to settle for what ever the insurence company says they can do. My daughter was working at the car wash when she was struck by an suv and it had penned her between the suv and a car in front of it. She lost her left leg and is going in for the 5th surgery on the right leg. The car wash is paying workmans comp. and the attorney settled with the third party for 100 thousand which my daughter did not see any of it and the lawyer told her she had no choice but to sign it the workmans comp got two thirds and the lawyer got the other third. I know that can not be right. My daughter tried to kill herself last month and my husband and I had to go and pick her up and take responsiblity for her. I realize she was 20 when this accident happened but after the accident she did not have her husband helping her, or any of the family in the town she was living in helping her. I think they are putting alot of pressure on someone that is not able to handle it since losing her leg. The bad thing is she could still lose the other leg. She almost died because she had lost so much blood and the right leg was so torn up she still has not gotten full recovery or feeling in that leg. The problem I think is here in Idaho and maybe it is like that everywhere but the lawyers, insurence companies, workmans comp, are all having lunch coming up with resolutionis with no consideration for the victim maybe I am wrong but that is my opinion. My daughter is devastated she loved to swim, run, play with her puppy, walk and everything she will never be able to do again and there will never be any amount that can bring that back but She feels she should get something and at least not have to worry about money ever again, So if anybody out there has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You for letting my vent again about my frustration

You can post your case online at bidsfromlawyers.com, it's a service where you can post your case, lawyers review it and bid on your case. That way you can chose a lawyer that is within your price range, and you can also review their profiles beforehand to see if they would be a good fit. It's always better to have options to chose from especially for a case like this.

Have you tried legal aid where you live? There should be some sort of legal assistance or legal clinic for people where you live. Do an internet search or call 211 maybe they can help you. 211 is United Way, they are suppose to have a list of community resources for just about any place. Good-luck.
