LOL to deserve best response I should tell you about my first fishing experience. I was 11 years old I think! It was out on the Pacific Ocean straight out in front of our house. I didn't understand fishing and I wanted to let out more line. So I did. My dad kept saying to me, just remember you keep letting out line and you will have to reel it all in, I am not going to help you! The other rule was if you got your first fish no matter how young you were you had to reel it by yourself as well. Okay so I caught a fish. I had let out so much line I was getting exhausted reeling it in. My dad, my dads friend and my brother were cheering me on and one was holding me around the shoulders to make sure I didnt' fall out of the boat. Finally you could see the fish was nearing the surface and just has the face broke surface I scream I thought I caught a monster. My dad and his friend were wondering why the fish didn't seem to be fighting me it was like a dead weight. Now we knew why. I scream I caught a monster and almost threw my rod as my Father stopped me and grabbed the rod. Goodness she caught a Cod. Oh my , what a site that was.. this huge mouth with these big ugly eyes. I was just so glad to hear it wasn't a monster. We had Cod and chips for dinner. Man was it good! Nobody could believe I caught a Cod. It was a real fluke apparently!
