Irresponsible Parents...want to slap some sense!

I really have a colleague that I really want to slap some sense. She just gave birth to her 6th child at the age of 36 and I really can't convince her to try to employ some birth control either natural or not. Her husband doesnt have any permanent job and her eldest is still in his pre-school. As of now, her eldest is the only one studying but she already have problems about the schooling of her eldest, how much more when the other children would start schooling too? The ones taking care of her 6 children is her mother who is already 74 to 76 years old since she could not afford to hire any help and as it is, she is already drowning in debts. But when I tell her that she should start having some sort of control, she would just laugh at me and even dare to tell me that one could not bring money to heaven. I really got impatient with her that I told her that she's stupid and irresponsible to her face. She has experienced not bringing her sick child to hospital because she has no money and she gave birth at their house for her 5th child with only the midwife to assist her because she can't even afford to stay even at a government hospital whose cost next to nothing and now she would tell me that she can't bring money to heaven. I hope time would not come for her children to blame her when they can't all go to school even in primary school because they are too many and doesnt have enough resources. She is also sick and has a very big goiter but she can't even use our medicard since it's already a pre-existing condition and still have it unmedicated. Other people can only do so much if one is not really willing to help oneself. Typical example of a poor mentality.

i hate hearing things like this. why do these types of people just keep popping kids out. do they not realize that the kids arent going to have the life that they deserve to have either? i have 4 kids and i am not having any more, for many reasons. one reason is money..an obvious one i guess. the other is that it is that it is hard to find adequate time to have alone with each child. plus...as they get older, they cost more with food, clothes, and activities. plus as they get older, they want to do more extra curriculir activities and that gets tricky getting one child here and the other there. so a lot went into my decision. plus, the more kids you have, the more stress you have. it is easy for you to take your stress out on your family so limiting the stress is a good thing. i love my family. i am so happy to have 4 kids. if i had a million dollars, i would probably have one or two more. but since i dont, i am not being selfish about it. your friend is being selfish and ignorant. she has medical problems too? wow...that is just not a good situation all the way around. you are right...poor mentality...100%.

Children indeed takes a lot of us, financially, emotionally and physically. I only have 2 children but they take a lot out of me and I have to make sure that I am able to give them all that I can give and won't be depriving them of the things that they should because there are too many of them. One can't really give enough attention and care to each children if there are too many of them and in the end it is the children who will suffer. I just can't stand to see any of my children suffering. If I am rich too, I would probably have 6 children.

I don't understand why people keep having kids and expect the state and other taxpayers to pay for their upkeep! So many people in the UK and unemployed and continue having children without a thought for where the kids food and clothing are coming from. The money from it is coming from people like me who've worked their a**es off since the age of 17 and paid tax for it to be spent on unmarried mothers bearing 3, 4, 5, 6 or more kids! What quality of life will they have? Girls who have kids at the age of 13 or 14 don't finish their education and then their children don't bother following through with their education and it all becomes a vicious circle. I'm not saying all people who have too many kids can't support them but a very large percentage of people in the UK have kids they can ill afford and expect the government to just keep paying out for these kids and then demand bigger houses too! I had better stop now before I get all worked up and I'm sure many people will get the hump with me for saying this stuff! x

I really find it vexing for such kind of people to blame the government for their plight. I am surprised that it is also happening their in UK...I thought in only happens in the Philippines. It is indeed bad for see mothers bearing a lot of children which they could not support. I feel so frustrated sometimes because I just can't understand such poor way of thinking. The ones who will get the losing end are the children and it just saddens me.

Some Roman Catholics still to this day don't practice birth control. I can't see having any more children than one can handle physically, mentally, emotionally or finacially these days. 6 children at 36 is way too many in my eyes these days with the costs fof everything. But if the so desire let it be I guess. It's a shame mom is taking care of this womans children most times though. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I am Roman Catholic Grandpa Bob and I practice birth control..the natural way. LOL! I am the best example that natural birth control works. It just needs discipline and commitment from both partners inorder to work. It is very important that both partners understands and agree on the type of birth control that they have to use.
