The Titanic sinking has intrigued me ever since I was a child. The first time I saw a TV program about this topic I was hooked and also horrified by such a tragedy. I have read lots of books on the topic and researched on the internet. I was surprised that this is not the worst ship disaster but has become the most popular of all ship disasters. let me just say I'm not making light of this, any loss of life is too much. One more thing I enjoyed the movie by James Cameron but I heard many say they could do without the love story part. What do you think?.

It's true. The film is about the trajedy that occured on the ship. Love story should be a small part of it. Anyway I like the film very much. We shouldn't give much importance to that part of the film.

I got made fun of because I laughed when she said she'd never let go she'd never let go and then she let him go and he fell to the bottom of the ocean. But to me it's like you just said you'd never let go! and you let him go! I know that makes me sound like a horrible person, but anyway, I hated the movie because I hated the love story. If you have a story about something that happened, don't throw in the love story and make it all about that because I really doubt that's the main focus of the Titanic sinking. Just like Pearl Harbor, the movie, they focused way too much on the love story, it could do without all the focus.

The story was very hollywoodized...there is absolutely no way that jack would have been allowed on the 1st class deck...it just wasnt done back then...his place was 3rd class...its an ok story, but the best one was the 1950's verson (US) (england came out with one during that time too) if you can get ahold of the us version, i would reccomend that one.
if you check my past disscussions, you will see a martime disaster of greater proportions...in 1914 the Empress of Ireland sunk in the St Lawrence River (canada) taking more lives than the Titanic and while the Titanic sunk in 2 and a half hours, the Empress sunk in 14 minutes! Sadly, because there were no famous americans on this ship and because it was overshadowed by the beginning of ww1, very little is said about the Empress of Ireland

I have been since I saw the movie "Titanic". I watched it 10 times and planning to watch it again. I wanted to get a copy of Titanic documentaries, I heard that there are people who made articles, clippings and videos about this historical ship.. =)
