Chronic lymphocytic leukemia is a type of cancer. There's no known cure for it. Chemotherapy is the major form of treatment for chronic lymphocytic leukemia. More can be read at the following website. http://www.cancer.org/docroot/cri/cri_2_3x.asp?dt=62 I'll keep your brother in my prayers.

I am sorry to hear your brother has developed Leukemia sweetie. As far as I know it's a form of cancer whereby the bone marrow is producing too many white blood cells. There is lots of information available on the web about this illness, much of which I do not understand but you might want to read it to give you a better idea about the illness: http://www.cancer.gov/cancerinfo/pdq/treatment/CLL/patient/ http://www.leukemia-lymphoma.org/all_page?item_id=7059 http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/chronic-lymphocytic-leukemia/DS00565 http://www.cancerbackup.org.uk/Cancertype/Leukaemiachroniclymphocytic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronic_lymphocytic_leukemia I think the best thing to do is consult with the doctor to get a clear idea of what treatment is involved and how long it will take. My prayers and good wishes are with you and your family at this time dear pal. xx
