| My odd schedule tends to throw off my sleep schedule like crazy. So sometimes I need to turn to the occassional sleep aid. The only problem is that on the occassion that I do take them, I have an extremely difficult time waking up the next day. I could sleep 13 hours easily. But then I know I'll feel groggy and sore and end up not sleeping that night, thereby starting a vicious cycle! So I get up but it takes hours to "clear the cobwebs" as they say. This morning it it took me like 3 hours to type up a simple letter! Anyone else experience this? How do you deal with it? | | | | | |

| | i took a sleeping pill once in my lfie and got the same feeling. I slept for 12 hours but still got up feeling like I ahvent got enough sleep. i guess it just relaxes our body so much that our body craves all the sleep we have missed out on a week! Since i took it only once, i didnt bother about it too much. But if you take them often then maybe you should see a doctor about changing your prescription. | | | | | | |

| | Yeah that happens with sleeping pills. You could try breaking it half. That can cut down the "hangover". But if you find yourself going to bed at an odd hour, A hot shower and a cool,quiet bedroom with no distractions is probably your best bet.And don't let yourself get "reved up" by doing a bunch of stuff before going to bed.It just stimulates your system and makes it that much harder to get sleep. | | | | | | |

| | I myself do not have a problem with this but my husband works nights so he sleeps during the day. It's very hard for him to fall asleep because IT IS daytime. He takes that over the counter Sominex. He said it works great for him. So, if you're taking a script, maybe you should think about switching to an over the counter one.
